2018 Increases to HSA and FSA Contributions

January 1, 2018. IRS announces increases to health FSA and HSA maximum contributions for 2018.

The annual contribution amounts to a Heath Savings Account (HSA) or a health Flexible Spending Account (FSA) will see a modest increase of $50 for 2018. For an individual, the maximum contribution to an HSA will increase from $3,400 in 2017 to $3,450 in 2018. The maximum individual contribution to a health FSA will increase from $2,600 in 2017 to $2,650 in 2018.

The contribution limit for a dependent care FSA has not changed. It remains at $5,000 for a married couple filing jointly (or a single person filing as head of household) or $2,500 per parent for a married couple filing separately.
