How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I was employed in real estate development in the early 1980s when the national economy slipped into another recession. At that time mortgage interest rates climbed to as much as 24.0% per year causing real estate development and sales to come to a standstill. When 2 developers I worked with both filed bankruptcy, I knew where I could find employment. I started practicing bankruptcy law with a Bay Area law firm in September 1982 and have been helping debtors resolve their financial problems ever since.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Both of our attorneys, Gerald White and Gary Gale, are designated by The California Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California as CERTIFIED LEGAL SPECIALISTS IN BANKRUPTCY LAW. As of September 1. 2014 there were only 135 attorneys in the entire state of California with this certification! We have 53 combined years of experience representing our clients in thousands of bankruptcy cases. 100% of our clients filing chapter 7 received a discharge of their debts. 100% of our clients filing chapter 13 were successful in obtaining confirmation of their debt repayment plans. We get great results because we know what we're doing and we work closely with our clients to do it right the first time.
