Personal Injury

Personal injury law covers many different situations and provides the opportunity for an injured person to sue another person at fault for those injuries.

Some areas of the law our attorneys can help you with include:
-Dog bites
-Trip/fall
-Spinal injury
-Brain injury
-Bicycle accidents
-Third party wrongful death
-Product liability
-Recreational injury
-Automobile negligence
-Catastrophic injury
-Commercial vehicle liability
-Electrical injury
-Head injury
-Motor vehicle accidents and injuries
-Motorcycle accidents
-Neurolaw
-Pedestrian injuries
-Severe burns

Catastrophic injuries arise in different forms. They include brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, fractures, damage to sight, or nerve damage to name a few. Whether it is the result of a slip and fall, an auto accident, a victim of a drunk driver, a defective product, a work-related accident, or other intentional or negligent cause, the financial and emotional effects to a victim can be enormous. Often such injuries result in a lifetime of medical treatment and continuous life-care support. Victims may also face years or decades of lost income because of disability. Such injuries, in short, can lead to drastic changes in the lives of individuals.

A plaintiff who is successful at making a personal injury claim may be entitled to lost income, past and future medical costs, pain and suffering and emotional distress compensation. Many personal injury claims settle out of court, sometimes at a Settlement Mediation. If an out of court settlement does not occur, the personal injury case may make it to a judge or jury who will decide first on fault and then on damages.

Because of the potential great damages involved in catastrophic injuries, it is particularly important that the injured claimant retain a law firm with exceptional expertise, an established record of proven successes. The attorneys at Spoon Gordon Ballew, PC can help you determine your legal rights, give you examples of personal injury settlements and give you an idea of your chances of receiving compensation for your losses.
