Our firm has a well-established and active trial and appellate practice in state and federal courts and in a wide range of administrative and arbitration forums.

Our litigation caseload is primarily commercial, although professional malpractice, product liability, domestic relations, securities fraud, and personal injury cases are considered and selectively undertaken. We also administer and manage cases outside the State of Colorado. The firm has worked extensively, for both plaintiffs and defendants, in the areas of securities litigation, intellectual property, real estate, construction, banking, environmental, employment and general business disputes.

Edward M. Allen is a director and shareholder of the firm. Ed is the current president of the firm, and concentrates his practice on commercial and general civil litigation. After clerking for the Honorable Michael J. Watanabe, he began representing individuals and companies in a wide variety of matters, including construction defects, premise liability, municipal liability, products liability and employment law. Although he remains active in several of these practice areas, he now places a greater emphasis on commercial disputes, professional liability and construction litigation. Ed has considerable trial and alternative dispute resolution experience and has served as a panel arbitrator in several insurance-related matters. In the construction arena, he has represented owners, general contractors, sureties, subcontractors, material suppliers and other vendors in a wide variety of matters. Ed has authored and co-authored construction law articles, and has presented seminars on personal and commercial general liability claims.
