Peter J. Magnani, the firm's founder, was a partner in the firm of Jacobs, Williams & Montgomery, Ltd., now Williams Montgomery & John Ltd., in Chicago. Mr. Magnani attended Indiana University (Bachelor of Science, 1971) and received his legal education at the Indiana University School of Law (Juris Doctor, 1974). Mr. Magnani is admitted to the Illinois Bar (1974); U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit; U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. He has served as a committee vice-chair of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, and is a former member of the Committee on Judicial Evaluations of the Illinois State Bar Association.
