He is active in the Boston Bar Association, currently serving on the Association's Council and as a Chairman of the Education Committee. Jose Sierra brings a breadth of experience as an in-house attorney, outside practitioner and trial attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office to his work with clients at Laredo & Smith, LLP. He has more than a dozen years' experience advising pharmaceutical company executives, audit committees and corporate directors on legal, employment, compliance and business strategies.

Prior to his work at Laredo & Smith, Mr. Sierra was a Principal at Fish & Richardson, where he represented clients under government investigation, litigated shareholder and business disputes, and counseled life science and healthcare companies on compliance. He was the Chief Compliance Officer for Sepracor (now Sunovion) and Kos Pharmaceuticals, establishing those companies' compliance departments, and was previously Director of Litigation at Schering-Plough. Mr. Sierra spent a dozen years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Newark, NJ, investigating and trying numerous high profile cases. Following law school he served as clerk to the Honorable Reynaldo G. Garza, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and taught White Collar Crime at Rutgers Law School.

Jessica Luz Yau

Jessica joined Laredo & Smith after graduating from Boston College Law School. There she served as a research assistant to two Boston College law professors, was president of Law Students for Reproductive Justice and was a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Jessica is a magna cum laude graduate of Hamilton College where she won the Earl H. Wright Prize for Excellence in Public Discourse and Advocacy, among other honors.
