David Kendall knew early in life that he wanted to serve people by becoming a trial attorney. He began his career as a military attorney in the U.S. Marine Corps. There, he gained valuable courtroom experience, handling prosecution and criminal defense matters. He later represented sick and wounded veterans before Physical Evaluation Boards, helping them to secure compensation for their service-connected injuries.Kendall has carried this concern for injured people over into his private law practice.
Since 2009, Kendall Law Firm has helped accident and injury victims throughout Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley from our offices in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Winchester, Staunton and Woodstock.

David Kendall's career has spanned over 25 years, and he has achieved successful recoveries for people throughout the Charlottesville, Winchester, Harrisonburg and other Shenandoah Valley areas. Few lawyers in the region have handled more personal injury cases than Kendall. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kendall has been in private practice since 1988, when he joined a Charlottesville personal injury firm. He soon became a partner and practiced there for 21 years, before forming the Kendall Law Firm in 2009. Kendall is a Virginia native and received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Virginia in 1981, and his law degree from the University of Richmond in 1984.

He has been representing clients in Virginia and West Virginia in these areas for more than two decades. As a native Virginian, he received a dual undergraduate degree in English and Political Science, and graduated with honors distinction from James Madison University in 1985. As a Marine, Black attended George Mason University School of Law and and recieved his J.D. in 1988. After graduation, he went on active duty where he served the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton as a prosecutor, defense counsel and legal assistance officer, among other duties. He completed his service in 1992 with the rank of Captain.
