Dedicated to protecting your constitutional rights
Federal and State Criminal Defense Lawyers, Bret Jordan and Marcus Sidoti, have a combined 30 years of criminal defense practice, with an emphasis on felony charges in U.S. Federal District Courts and Northeast Ohio Courts of Common Pleas.
Building a strong defense against serious criminal charges begins with learning about our client's needs for themselves and their family. We then analyze the details of your case; police reports, search warrant(s), witness statements and other documents. The details of the case are reanalyzed either individually by the responsible attorney or by multiple attorneys through a team approach. As a client you will be fully informed of the strengths and weaknesses of your case so you can make an intelligent decision as to whether to go to trial or resolve the case. If your case goes to trial, you have successful, strong advocates fighting for a not-guilty verdict.
For over 23 years, Mr. Jordan has dedicated his practice to defending individuals who have been charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. Mr. Jordan has been named as a 2016 and 2017 Super Lawyer in the area of criminal defense. While the bulk of his cases are in Cuyahoga County, Mr. Jordan has defended cases in Lake, Lorain, Erie, Summit, Medina, Lucas, Defiance, Athens, Guernsey and Miami Counties. Mr. Jordan also represents individuals accused of Federal Law violations such as: drug trafficking, conspiracy, tax evasion, theft, bank robbery and failure to report as a sex offender. He has practiced in the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio, United States District Court of New Hampshire, United States District Court Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Jordan has appeared on television shows such as Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, Snapped and True Crimes. He has a strong belief that everyone deserves a competent and zealous representation. Mr. Jordan is currently assigned to represent indigent people in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio.
As a client of Mr. Jordan you can expect accessibility, open communication and dedication to your case. You will be given all of the information and legal analysis necessary to make critical decisions with regards to your freedom and your family's future. Whether it is convincing a jury his client is "not guilty", negotiating a plea bargain with a prosecuting attorney or persuading a judge to order a lesser sentence, Mr. Jordan uses his knowledge of the law and well honed interpersonal skills to get results for his clients.

After admission to the Ohio bar, he began working at Jordan & Sidoti, LLP in early 2010 where he continued defending the rights of those accused of being on the wrong side of the law. He has defended clients with matters ranging from minor misdemeanor traffic offenses to high level felony offenses such as Rape, Felonious Assault, and Drug Possession.
In 2014, he expanded his practice to North Carolina where he sharpened his trial skills in both the criminal and civil arena. He has gained invaluable experience due to the spectrum of cases he has handled and the various courtrooms in which he has practiced.
Since 2015, he has focused solely on OVI/DUI defense in Ohio. He has successfully defended clients in both Ohio and North Carolina for Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence ("DUI/OVI"). He is certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for successfully completing training on the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests that are administered roadside by officers suspecting persons of OVI/DUI. This training and certification allows him to successfully defend any and all OVI/DUI cases and provide him with knowledge and insight otherwise disregarded. He is a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and National College for DUI Defense.
