Attorney in Las Vegas, NV

At McGeorge School of Law, I was on the Dean's List, a member of The Traynor Society and was a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Conflicts of Law. I was admitted to practice in October of 1978 and I began practicing with the law firm of Beckley, Singleton, DeLanoy, & Jemison (BSD&J). My primary emphasis of practice at BSD&J was insurance defense litigation. The cases included a broad range of legal matters focusing on personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation. I practiced as BSD&J from October 1978 to December 1985. During that time I handled hundred of litigation cases. In January of 1986 I started my own law firm. The practice has consisted of representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation. I have also participated in negotiating and drafting real estate purchase agreements, leases, joint development agreements with developers, development agreements with County entities, and utility annexation agreements. I have appeared before the Nye County Commission for zoning matters, use permits, and developed agreements. I have also participated in proceedings before the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada to amend and adopt regulations simplifying the procedures for small utilities. I have participated in the legislative process to successful pass a bill (AB355) for the benefit of all small water and sewer utilities in Nevada. In recent years I have been focusing on mediating and arbitrating cases privately and as a Clark County District Court Arbitrator/Mediator. I have conducted over 600 mediations/arbitrations. Attorney has achieved the highest rating for legal ability since 1993.
