Her real estate career began in 1996 as a recording clerk for the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds. Soon thereafter, Gina examined titles for both residential and commercial properties before joining a residential real estate conveyancing firm. In October of 2000, Gina left the firm and opened her own practice in downtown Boston. In 2002, she became a partner in a Boston-area law firm, handling its real estate practice . In 2004, she split from the firm to re-open her own practice.

Gina is also an accomplished and respected educator. Since 2005, Gina has served as an adjunct professor at Boston University. She teaches an Introduction to Law class for the undergraduate School of Management as well as graduate-level law courses for the university. She has also appeared as a guest lecturer for the Real Estate Conveyancing course at New England School of Law. A compassionate caregiver
After a third child close to Gina was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2009, she felt called to become involved with One Mission, a pediatric cancer foundation dedicated to improving the daily lives of children and families battling cancer. Today, Gina serves as a director for One Mission and has hosted fundraisers to benefit Children's Hospital Boston and The Jimmy Fund. In February 2011, Gina proudly hosted her first fundraiser at the Four Seasons that was attended by more than 180 people and helped to raise over $25,000 for One Mission and The Jimmy Fund.
Gina currently resides in Charlestown, Massachusetts. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Jay Powers, and their five-year-old daughter, Olivia.
