Alexander P. Lewis

Alexander "Alex" Lewis is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He attended Spartanburg High School and upon graduation enrolled at Clemson University. While at Clemson, Alex was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and the William T. Howell Pre-Law Society. Alex graduated from Clemson in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Upon graduation from Clemson, Alex enrolled in the Charleston School of Law where he graduated in 2010. While in law school, Alex excelled in and out of the classroom. In addition to serving as the Student Body President in his third year, Alex was also the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Civil Procedure and was selected for membership in the James L. Petigru Inn of Court.

After law school, Alex moved back to Spartanburg, where he gained invaluable experience working for several Spartanburg attorneys handling a variety of matters from medical malpractice and large scale class action litigation to simple automobile accidents and probate matters. His varied experiences allow him the flexibility to serve a wide range of clients in a variety of practice areas. Alex is admitted to practice in all South Carolina state and federal courts.

Alex is very involved in the local community, and currently serves on the board for the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Additionally, Alex has been recognized by the Spartanburg County Bar Association as the 2017 C. Bruce Littlejohn Young Lawyer of the Year recipient. In his spare time, Alex enjoys following Clemson Athletics and spending time with his wife Mary Towles Darby Lewis and their two dogs.

Prior to creating Cummings & Lewis, LLC, Blake worked with his father, William V. Cummings, in Spartanburg, SC. By working in a small firm environment with his father, Blake was able to gain a broad range of legal experience in both state and federal courts.

Since creating Cummings & Lewis, LLC, Blake has helped many clients achieve successful results in personal injury cases, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, workers' compensation cases, and Social Security disability cases.

He enjoys being back in Spartanburg and still maintains strong local ties to the Upstate community. He represents a diverse group of South Carolinians in venues throughout the state and strives to assertively and vigorously represent each one of his clients.
