Michael Short and Jason Forbus have extensive experience in criminal defense. Michael served as City Prosecutor in Auburn Municipal Court from 2004 to 2014, where he prosecuted numerous cases. With Michael's experience as City Prosecutor, he knows exactly what to do to protect your rights. Michael knows about unique opportunities and avenues available throughout the prosecution process. Michael is familiar with the various possibilities of pretrial diversion programs and other options that apply to certain charges and situations. Jason spent five years in law enforcement in Lee County prior to beginning his law practice. With this experience, Jason has the knowledge and qualifications to represent clients charged with various misdemeanor offenses in Auburn Municipal Court, Opelika Municipal Court and Lee County District Court.

Matt White is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing. Matt earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 1994 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar that same year. After graduating law school Matt served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Alabama which includes Chambers, Tallapoosa, Macon and Randolph Counties. While working as an Assistant District Attorney Matt tried many cases to verdict and gained invaluable courtroom experience. In 1999, Matt joined the firm and began practicing general civil litigation, including personal injury, workers' compensation, construction and real estate litigation.
