Estate Planning

Firm focusing upon Life Planning, not death planning. We seek to be your first attorney who sets your legal relationships for the future.

Firm focusing upon all aspects of estate planning including, basic wills and trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, Nevada asset protection trusts (or Nevada Self-Settled Spendthrift Trusts), Gun Trusts, and family business succession vehicles.

Firm also assists clients in probate administration, guardianship, attendant administration, and real estate development.

Jeffrey J. Whitehead has twenty-seven years in advising clients for simple estates to complex administrations, and has successfully consulted with clients to oversee their estates and families. He is a board member of Nevada Wealth Counsel, an estate planning network seeking to ensure quality representation for Nevada clients and clients with Nevada assets.

Gary Burnett has thirty-two years experience advising clients in all matters of real estate and business succession.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Our firm's attorneys has advised clients for the better part of three decades, and one of the first observations is that people defer estate planning because they view it as death planning, almost believing if they refrain from estate planning that they will liver forever. Conversely, we seek to educate clients that estate planning is actually a form of life planning, so that you monitor your assets acquired and determine for yourself where, how and to whom they will be distributed. Just as a person visits a physician regularly to ensure physical health is maintained, a person should regularly review his or her asset retention vehicles so that they remain current and applicable.
