Gerard Legagneur practices transactional corporate law as the sole member of GL Esquire Consulting, LLC in Miami, Florida. He provides general corporate legal services, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, equity investment, entity formation, corporate governance, joint ventures, and bank finance services. As Of-Counsel at Malkin Law P.A., he serves the legal needs of the alcohol and cannabis industries by assisting clients in navigating the intricacies of federal and state-by-state alcohol and cannabis laws and negotiating industry-specific agreements, such as sponsorship agreements, agency agreements, bottling agreements, and distributor agreements.

As a senior attorney at the Miami offices of McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, and White and Case, LLP, Mr. Legagneur served as both purchaser’s and seller’s counsel for numerous sophisticated corporate transactions. He has also contributed and consulted on legal publications for the Thomson Reuters Practical Law online portal.

Mr. Legagneur received his law degree in 2001 from the Columbia University School of Law, where he served as the Staff Editor for the Columbia Business Law Review and the Articles Editor for the National Black Law Journal. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics (with Honors) from Harvard University in 1998.
