Joseph J. Wright is an experienced litigation and trial attorney specializing in the defense of corporations, business owners, insurers and individuals in complex litigation, industrial accidents, construction liability and indemnity, first and third-party automobile liability actions, premises liability, products liability, professional liability claims, commercial disputes, and insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Wright also has a successful appellate practice.
Mr. Wright is the author of "Making Sense of Retained Control and Common Work Area Liability," Michigan Defense Quarterly, Vol. 21, No. 2 (2004), and "Reconciling the Notice of Non-Party Fault and the Taxation of Costs Pursuant to Michigan's Prevailing Party Statutes," Michigan Defense Quarterly, Vol. 21, No. 4 (2005).
Mr. Wright is a member of the prestigious Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), an international organization with less than 1,100 attorney members worldwide, all of whom have demonstrated their leadership in the legal community. Election to the FDCC is by the Board of Directors upon recommendation of an Admissions Committee charged with making an exhaustive investigation into the qualifications of nominees to ensure that they have distinguished themselves professionally.
He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, the Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute.
