With more than 35 years of experience in the practice of law, Norman Marcus focuses his Plantation, Florida practice in a range of areas. Mr. Marcus handles all aspects of family law, as well as wills & probate and a range of real estate and business and commercial matters. His experience ranges from the courtroom to the negotiation table, and he is adept at alternative forms of dispute resolution. Mr. Marcus is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, a qualified arbitrator, and is well-versed in collaborative law.
Mr. Marcus was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1975. Since then, he has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. His extensive community involvement includes maintaining active memberships in the West Broward Bar Association, Collaborative Family Lawyers of South Florida, the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Inc., and Broward Lawyers Care. In addition, Mr. Marcus has served as a lecturer on Legal Research for Nova University in Florida. His many professional honors include being named an "Outstanding Member" of Broward Lawyers Care, as well as serving as Vice President (1990) and President (1991) of the West Broward Bar Association. In recognition of his work, Mr. Marcus has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell's AV Preeminent rating, signifying the highest levels of professional excellence and ethical standards.
Mr. Marcus was born in New York, NY. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of Phi Delta Phi, the international legal fraternity.
