How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Cynthia N. Sass has been practicing law in Florida over 30 years. She formed the Sass Law Firm in 1993 to exclusively focus on representing public and private sector employees in employment disputes. The mission of her firm is to provide the client with an honest assessment of each case, ensure each client is educated on the options and remedies available to them through the law, and strategize with the client to accomplish their goals. In doing so, her firm takes an individual approach to each case, advising clients as to the potential results, costs of litigation and other means of resolving their employee disputes.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

All five of the firm's attorneys focus on representing individuals who have workplace issues. Our attorneys are dedicated to advancing clients' needs and goals based on their up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and trends, and their practical experience gained through years of handling these types of cases. The firm not only provides counseling to clients but actively litigates cases in court.

In addition, each of the firm's attorneys practices employee rights law by choice. Our attorneys are leaders in the employment law field in Florida as well as nationally, including leadership positions with The Florida Bar and its Labor and Employment Law Section, the Hillsborough County Bar Association and its Labor and Employment Section, the American Bar Association's Section of Labor and Employment Law, the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. The attorneys keep current on employment law developments and author and serve as editors of assorted books and articles on a variety of employment law topics. In addition, they speak regularly at local, state and national conferences and seminars to further educate their colleagues on employee rights issues and advance employee interests. To see a complete listing of their credentials, visit their attorney profiles and resumes at https://www.EmploymentLawTampa.com/attorneys/.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

The firm's business model is different from other employment law firms. We limit the number of cases that each attorney handles so each client receives individual attention. As the firm employs five experienced employment attorneys, each attorney uses her individual expertise on client matters and then works as a team with the other attorneys in the firm to maximize our results for our clients. It all starts at the first meeting, where an experienced employment attorney (not a legal assistant or paralegal) performs an initial evaluation of the employee's potential case during an hour-long consultation in person, via Zoom or by telephone. At this consultation, the employee describes his/her situation in detail including his/her goals, and receives legal advice and options, whether the goals are reasonable, how to proceed, and the cost of proceeding. For this service, the firm charges a reduced rate of $275 for most consultations, unless an employee seeks advice on an employment or severance agreement. In that case, the firm charges $400 for the attorney to review an employment or severance agreement of up to 15 pages. If the client retains the firm after the consultation, each client communicates directly with their assigned attorney, not just through legal assistants. This one-on-one personal approach makes our firm a great fit for individuals looking for an employee rights attorney who will work hard to accomplish their defined goals. We provide this service to clients based on our attorneys' numerous years of expertise in employment law. Their extensive legal experience provides our firm with the know-how to handle various employment disputes and issues our clients' encounter.

In addition, they speak regularly at local, state and national conferences and seminars to further educate their colleagues on employee rights issues and advance employee interests.
