Prior to forming the law firm, Tedone & Morton, P.C., Cosmo J. Tedone was the senior associate with Chuck Bretz and Associates, P.C. for eight years along with experience as an Assistant Will County Public Defender and private practice in the area of insurance defense and general civil litigation. Recently he was involved with several appeals that resulted in three (3) murder convictions being overturned in 2011. His current practice emphasizes in criminal defense (DUI, Suspended Driver Licenses, Drugs, Domestic Battery, Homicide and Appeals), personal injury, and Secretary of State Hearings, representing a wide variety of clientele.
Barbara Morton graduated from University of Colorado with a Bachelors of Art Degree in Communication in 1992. Ms. Morton followed her BA with an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1996. Ms. Morton received her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1998. She has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since May 1999. Her practice emphasis is in Family law issues, Real Estate, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Traffic and Personal Injury. She has represented clients in litigation matters before Federal and State Courts, arbitration and administrative agencies. Ms. Morton has over ten years of experience as a litigator trying over thirty jury trials along with over a hundred arbitration hearings, bench trials and contested motions.
Todd Polito joined Tedone & Morton, P.C. as an associate in March of 2012. He received his Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School - Chicago and was admitted to the Illinois BAR in November of 2012. During law school, Todd was a law clerk In the Chancery and Law division of the 18th judicial circuit in Wheaton while also serving as a 711 licensee for the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. Prior to his legal career, Todd worked as a General Manager with Marriott International and served in the United States Navy. Todd splits his time equally practicing family law and criminal law with Tedone & Morton.
