Jeffrey C. Miller

Jeff holds a degree in political science and government from Dartmouth and received his law degree from Cornell University. He worked at a mid-sized San Francisco-Palo Alto-San Jose firm for approximately five years and started his own firm in Palo Alto in the mid-1980s. His primary areas of practice include representing clients in the formation and operation of businesses, assisting in a variety of employment-related matters, handling a range of real estate matters relating to businesses, and acting as a mediator and arbitrator primarily of business disputes.

As a result of having worked in his own firm for over twenty years, Jeff has learned to use entrepreneurial and innovative approaches to legal problems in order to maximize results and minimize costs. He works with his staff to constantly improve the delivery of services and believes that the client's goals and satisfaction are preeminent. As part of his ongoing effort to continually provide clients with the highest quality legal services, Jeff has developed an extensive network of attorneys who specialize in virtually every area of law as well as other professionals with whom he consults regularly so that his clients get the same kind of service offered by much bigger firms but at a substantially lower price.Jeff has spent untold hours doing community service in an effort to bring more legal information to the public. He has given public presentations to business, real estate, community and professional groups and has taught at Santa Clara University Law School, St. Mary's College, College of Notre Dame, and Canada College. He is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association where he serves on the Business Committee and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He is also involved in various community groups.

Jeff is married and has a daughter who was born in 2003. He values his time with his family and always strives to learn more about being a better husband, father and person. Jeff is an avid reader, particularly about matters relating to psychology and spirituality.
