Philip was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha before he went on to and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1972. He was on active duty in the U.S. Army for almost two years as a 2nd Lt. Philip graduated from Creighton University Law School in 1977. He moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska in the summer of 1977 where he has lived continuously.
Philip has been actively practicing law since 1977 and has been a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee since 1989.
Philip was an Adjunct Faculty Member with Western Nebraska Community College from 1977 to 1990, Spring 1997, Fall 2004 until Spring 2006, and has taught credit courses in Real Estate Principles and Real Estate Law. He is a Certified Real Estate Instructor from the Nebraska Real Estate Commission.
Philip has also presented numerous seminars including Continuing Education seminars for real estate brokers and license holders, bankruptcy related issues and divorce for the Nebraska Lawyers' Project, Scotts Bluff County Bar Association and Family Law Initiative Seminar and for the 2003 Young Lawyer's Section, Practice Seminar. Richard A. "Dick" Douglas was born November 23, 1945, in Pipestone, Minnesota to Donald and Leona (Smith) Douglas. After living in Texas for a short time, the family moved to Omaha, where Mr. Douglas graduated from Creighton Preparatory School and Creighton University. Following service in the United States Army, he married Judith Fitzgerald in Omaha. Mr. Douglas graduated from Creighton University School of Law in 1973, and the couple moved to Scottsbluff, where he began his law practice.
Mr. Douglas was the president of the law firm Douglas, Kelly, Ostdiek and Ossian, P.C., at the time of his death. He had many clients whom he represented with integrity and diligence. His passion for education was reflected in his representation of Scottsbluff Public Schools, Western Nebraska Community College, and many other school districts in western Nebraska, along with presenting numerous seminars for the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys, as well as estate planning seminars.
Mr. Douglas was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Scotts Bluff County Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, and the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys. He loved playing golf, discussing politics, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his advice, his generosity, and his sense of humor.

Mr. Douglas graduated from Creighton University School of Law in 1973, and the couple moved to Scottsbluff, where he began his law practice.
Mr. Douglas was the president of the law firm Douglas, Kelly, Ostdiek and Ossian, P.C., at the time of his death. He had many clients whom he represented with integrity and diligence. His passion for education was reflected in his representation of Scottsbluff Public Schools, Western Nebraska Community College, and many other school districts in western Nebraska, along with presenting numerous seminars for the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys, as well as estate planning seminars.
Mr. Douglas was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Scotts Bluff County Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, and the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys. He loved playing golf, discussing politics, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his advice, his generosity, and his sense of humor.

Richard A. "Dick" Douglas was born November 23, 1945, in Pipestone, Minnesota to Donald and Leona (Smith) Douglas. After living in Texas for a short time, the family moved to Omaha, where Mr. Douglas graduated from Creighton Preparatory School and Creighton University. Following service in the United States Army, he married Judith Fitzgerald in Omaha. Mr. Douglas graduated from Creighton University School of Law in 1973, and the couple moved to Scottsbluff, where he began his law practice.
