The California Secretary of State's office has new requirements regarding the address listed for business entities and agents on formation and foreign registration documents for corporations and limited liability companies. There are also new requirements on how to request a future file date for corporation and limited liability company documents. In addition, there are new fees and rules about getting copies and certified copies of documents filed with the Secretary of State.
Be sure to comply with these new rules before you file any registration or formation documents with the Secretary of State's office after January 1, 2013. Also, check the Secretary of State's website for updated article of incorporation and other registration forms.
