What should I do if nothing happens when I put the WillMaker CD into my CD-ROM drive?

Setup should launch automatically after you insert the software CD. If it doesn't, do the following:

  • Navigate to your CD-ROM drive.

  • Double click the Setup file.

  • Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

How do I register my copy of WillMaker?

If you purchased this software from Nolo.com, you are already registered. Otherwise, you can register by choosing Online > Online Registration and following the directions that appear on the screen. If you have trouble, call us at 800-728-3555 (8am to 5pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday).

Registering enables you to receive technical support, discounts on upgrade, and access to a few of Nolo's online forms.

Do I need Adobe Reader?

To read the Legal Manual in PDF format, you must have Adobe Reader installed. You can download the current, free version of Adobe Reader for your Windows operating system from www.adobe.com.

How do I uninstall WillMaker?

Before you uninstall, make sure you have backups and/or printouts of your documents. For more on finding backups, see Does WillMaker make backups of my documents?

To uninstall the program:

Windows XP: go to Start > Programs > Quicken WillMaker 2016 > Uninstall Quicken WillMaker 2016.

Windows Vista and Windows 7: go to Start > All Programs > Quicken WillMaker 2016 > Uninstall Quicken WillMaker 2016.

Windows 8: right click the Quicken WillMaker 2016 app, click Uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.

If you can't find the uninstaller, try one of these methods:

  • Use the Control Panel to uninstall.
  • Find the Quicken WillMaker 2016 folder on your computer and delete it.
