North Carolina Middle District Bankruptcy Court Closes Physical Locations Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Greensboro and Winston-Salem courthouses closed due to coronavirus.

On March 26, 2020, the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of North Carolina instituted the following court access modifications to limit transmission of COVID-19:

  • Public intake counters in both the Greensboro and Winston-Salem divisions of the clerk’s office are closed.
  • Self-represented filers shall file papers by email, U.S. Mail, or designated drop boxes, and include a telephone number and a copy of a form of government-issued identification.
  • Filers must mail fees to the court.
  • Courtrooms are not in use—hearings will continue telephonically.
