To limit transmission of COVID-19, the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach divisions of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida, will close to the public on Monday, March 30, 2020, and remain closed indefinitely.
The new order expands on the Court’s previous March 16, 2020 order (directing all hearings to be held telephonically) by preventing in-person filings at the court clerk’s office. The courts will continue to operate under the new guidelines.
Filers who aren’t represented by a bankruptcy attorney and do not have online filing access will use the new filing procedures outlined in the March 25, 2020, Administrative Order.
