Corrie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as Research Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, and where he was awarded for excellence in the study of constitutional law and criminal defense. Corrie also graduated summa cum laude with valedictory honors from West Liberty University in West Virginia.

In his spare time, Corrie also serves as Chair of the Coraopolis NAACP Legal Redress Committee, which provides education about civil rights and resources to individuals whose civil rights may have been violated, as a board member for the Coraopolis Community Development Corporation, which promotes increased business and community development in the Coraopolis area, and as a member of the Society of St. Vincent dePaul, which provides faith and financial resources to those in need.
