At Vegh IP Legal, we enforce and defend Intellectual Property rights.
Vegh IP Legal's litigation experience and technical agility are a potent arsenal in the advocacy of IP matters. Just as important, Mr. Vegh is a skilled negotiator who excels at preventive counseling and recognizing when a client win outside the courtroom can be better than one achieved inside. Mr. Vegh has represented entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses, and large corporations in over one hundred (100) intellectual property infringement actions in federal district courts throughout the United States. Mr. Vegh has also represented clients in over eighty (80) proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board (TTAB), both in opposition to new trademark registrations and seeking to cancel existing registrations. Vegh IP Legal also counsels clients on domain name issues under the UDRP guidelines of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN ) Vegh IP Legal manages all phases of an intellectual property dispute, from cease and desist letters, initial pleadings, infringement and invalidity contentions, high-volume discovery, percipient/expert depositions, expert reports, claim construction, through law and motion practice, and trial. We really listen to our clients in order to thoroughly understand their businesses, their market, their short and long-term goals, and most importantly the tangible and intangible relief they seek from the dispute resolution process. This information provides the roadmap for Vegh IP Legal to evaluate how best to address cease and desist demands, IP licensing options, or whether to litigate. Sometimes, an early settlement is advisable and achievable. In other cases, aggressive litigation may be necessary to achieve client goals. But once the strategy is set, Vegh IP Legal will tenaciously execute.
Before becoming an IP litigator, Vegh IP Legal honed its litigation and trial skills in the trenches of cross-border complex commercial and business disputes, both in federal and California state courts. Having received my undergraduate degree in a scientific discipline, I became interested in patent law and in particular the multi-disciplinary challenges presented by intellectual property litigation. My litigation and technical skillset equipped me with the ability to explain complex issues and recommend strategies to clients in a clear and concise manner. I mentor my clients so they are not only informed of case developments but also fully understand and appreciate the strategy behind the counsel I give them, every step of the way.
Vegh IP Legal's unique blend of litigation savvy, strategic advocacy, and technical agility are a potent arsenal in the advocacy of IP matters. I acquired these skills from having been "lead counsel" in over one hundred patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret infringement actions venued throughout the district courts of the United States. I have managed over 80 administrative proceedings before the Trademark, Trial, and Appeals Board, several of which went to trial. I have also successfully tried commercial and administrative cases to judges and juries. I am registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office which allows me to assist clients in the prosecution of their patent and trademark applications.
Vegh IP Legal believes objectivity and candor are keys to the successful resolution of an IP case. As intellectual property litigation can be expensive and time consuming, the objectivity of the counsel a business selects to assess the merits of a case can be an important consideration. For plaintiff IP owners, Vegh IP Legal is ideally situated to represent their interests particularly when the underlying IP rights were secured by a different firm. Having been detached from the underlying prosecution, Vegh IP Legal is able to provide a fresh objective assessment of an IP owner's scope of rights. Importantly, our firm will not be required to testify during litigation about the decisions made by other prosecution counsel. This allows Vegh IP Legal to focus on your case and your best interests. Vegh IP Legal is able to provide responsive, goal-focused, straightforward counsel not in spite of but because of its smaller size and unique business model. Our fee structure options and billing practices are aligned with the needs and interests of our clients. Vegh IP Legal helps clients make informed decisions that are right for their business. I evaluate the merits of a dispute and objectively present litigation risks and rewards. I develop and execute efficient and cost-effective strategies tailored to client objectives. I provide budget projections based on specific task benchmarks. I mentor and prepare client representatives for depositions, mediation, and/or trial while seeking to minimize intrusion on business and personal lives. We are committed to helping our clients navigate the sometimes uncertain and complex waters of intellectual property litigation to reach their destination.
