Aggressive Criminal Defense In North Texas

The Van Dyke Legal Group is proud to be a cutting edge criminal defense law firm that is able to offer high-quality legal services to our clients throughout North Texas at highly competitive rates. The firm was founded on the philosophy that all Americans are entitled to quality legal representation, and that such representation should be available to them in criminal cases at reasonable prices. In a day and age where court-appointed lawyers are usually not as diligent as they should be in client communication and quality representation, one of the most common things we hear from new clients is that they didn’t know they could afford a high quality attorney before they came to us for a free initial consultation.

Our firm prides itself on aggressively defending the rights of our clients while maintaining the conservative values upon which it was founded. Our firm supports and prays for our first responders. We also understand that the state has failed many of those first responders by failing to provide them with appropriate training or equipment they need to do their job within the boundaries of the Constitution. Unfortunately, our firm is also painfully aware with the growing problem of politically-motivated prosecutions, and district attorneys more interested in their re-election campaigns than they are in doing justice. In times like these, everyone who finds themselves accused of a crime needs an aggressive and highly-motivated attorney with a mindset geared toward protecting their interests.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

If you're facing criminal charges in Denton, TX, or if you need a family law or personal injury lawyer, you have plenty of attorneys to choose from. How do you determine who will be the best to handle your case? Which firm is right for you? Having the right attorney on your side will determine the outcome of courtroom proceedings.

Consider These Factors When Searching for an Attorney:
Experience: Since our founding in 2007, our attorneys have provided high-quality service in Denton County and the surrounding areas. We have experience handling car accident cases, divorces, custody issues, and all sorts of criminal defense matters including DWIs, sex crimes, drug charges, robbery, and murder.

Client Testimonials: We know what we're doing. You can take our word for it, or see what our previous clients have to say. Anytime you are looking for someone to protect your freedom, your finances, or your family, it is beneficial to make sure that the attorney you hire has a good track record in court.

Team: The logistics and paperwork involved in handling a case is immense. Thus, an attorney must be incredibly organized or have staff in charge of keeping documents, evidence, and correspondence in order, so as not to misplace any information. At Marsala Law Group, we work as a team, which means you can be confident that we will keep your case files organized and that someone will be available to help with your every need.

Trust: Not only are we very good at our job, but we also genuinely care about our clients and want to serve and defend them in the courtroom. Regardless of whether your criminal case is something as serious as a sex crime, DWI, or murder, or a less-serious matter such as a traffic infraction or suspended driver's license, we will gladly help. In family law or personal injury cases, we will seek to understand your situation, and we truly want to help protect the best interests of you and your loved ones. In each case we handle, our Denton County attorneys go the extra mile and often stay after-hours to make sure the strategy we pursue for a client is as strong as possible. Whichever attorney you hire, ensure it's someone you can trust

Jason Van Dyke

Mr. Van Dyke was born and raised in Troy, Michigan. He got his start in law working a summer job as a courier and process server for Southfield, Michigan firm Fieger, Fieger, Schwartz, and Kenney P.C. He relocated to Texas in 2001 to complete his bachelor's degree in politics at the University of Dallas, where he also participated in undergraduate moot court. Following his graduation in 2003, he chose Stetson University College of Law to earn his Juris Doctor due to its stellar reputation in trial advocacy, as well as legal research and writing. Mr. Van Dyke was one of only a few students eligible to sit for the Texas bar exam prior to graduating from law school. While working as an intern for the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office, he was notified that he passed the bar in November of 2006, walked with his class for graduation a month later, and was sworn into the practice of law less than two months after graduating. Mr. Van Dyke began his career practicing in the area of creditor/debtor law, but always maintained a portion of his practice devoted to criminal defense. He opened his own firm in May of 2011 and began primarily practicing as a criminal defense attorney.

As a lifelong conservative and Second Amendment advocate, Mr. Van Dyke feels that his most sacred duty as an attorney is to help protect his clients from any attacks by the state on their freedom and fundamental rights - especially their rights to keep and bear arms and to hunt. Mr. Van Dyke is a life member of the National Rifle Association and is certified by the NRA as both a pistol instructor and a range safety officer. He has also earned the distinguished expert designation from the NRA in pistol. An avid hunter, Mr. Van Dyke is certified as a Grand Master Waterfowl Hunter by the Ultimate Waterfowl Challenge. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Dallas Safari Club. Aside from hunting, Mr. Van Dyke enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, precision rifle competition, brewing meads and ciders, and playing D&D with his friends.
