Over 20 years experience in the construction industry
I have held the position of General Counsel in the construction industry since 1998. In that time I have been the individual responsible for all of the legal issues facing the firm. The experience I have acquired include: Drafting and negotiating contracts such as the AIA agreements, confidentiality agreements, leases, liens, non compete clauses, employment agreements, and broker agreements; Litigate, negotiate and resolve all claims by or against the firm on such issues as breach of contract, lease negotiations, construction liens, and employment law; Supervise all aspects of current and pending projects, contracts, negotiations, employment law, licensing issues and day to day business matters; Review and opine on budgets, subcontractor proposals, blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications to ensure compliance with contract documents; Conduct legal research and compliance on multi-state licensing and other legal requirements; Meet with clients to discuss proposals, value engineering, and design/build recommendations.
