The Law Office of Jason R Carpenter
Jason Carpenter

The Law Office of Jason R. Carpenter represents clients in the Central Pennsylvania counties around

Harrisburg, including Dauphin, York, Lancaster, and Huntington. Attorney Carpenter considers his practice to what he calls a "Main Street" law office. While focused mostly on divorce, custody, and criminal matters, he always tells his clients to come to him first and "if I cannot do it, I know who can." His aim is to become his client's attorney for life, not just for one specific legal action.

Having graduated from Widener University Delaware Law School, he decided to become an attorney with the mindset that he could change the face of modern legal services. He has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and knew he could provide the best service to his clients if he could do it his way rather than follow the traditional law firm business model. Most clients hate being nickel and dimed for contacting their attorney and Attorney Carpenter does not like watching a clock while trying to solve your legal issue. While he does offer traditional hourly billing upon client's request. Attorney Carpenter will provide an estimate and one price for his service. The old ways of being practicing law are dead, and The Law Office of Jason R. Carpenter is at the forefront of new legal technologies and ways of making your experience as a client the best it can be.

Attorney Carpenter believes the most important aspect of being an excellent attorney is making clients secure and reassured about their situation. "They know they've got someone in their corner," he says. Although he lets his client know from the beginning that most criminal cases end in a plea deal instead of going to trial, Jason is never afraid to fight for his clients when it comes to advocacy in the courtroom. His mentality is that "when I put on the suit and tie, I feel like a Roman gladiator, or Iron Man getting ready for combat." While never spoiling for a fight, this firm's motto is "Every Client Matters," which is sacred to him. He focuses on easing his client's worries as well as solving their legal issue. "I am not the type of attorney to run up fees, roll the dice with your life, and then walk away saying ‘ho hum.' I love to fight, but I will not play with your life."

One aspect of his firm that he takes exceptional pride in goes beyond handling typical cases and common legal problems such as divorce, DUI, and estate planning. The Law Office of Jason R. Carpenter also practices. Coming from a military family handling such cases is where a true passion for legal justice lies in the heart of Attorney Carpenter's firm. Helping our veterans receive their VA benefit is a cornerstone of the practice and we are one the few firms in Pennsylvania handling VA benefits claims.

I'm a small-town kid from DuBois, PA, whose parents instilled in him the values of hard work and

honesty. The oldest of four children, I saw how my mom and dad worked hard to provide for us. I learned from their example, and graduated from Duquesne University a semester early with two degrees, and earned a full scholarship to Dickinson Law School. Since passing the bar in 2006, I've brought that same work ethic to my practice to obtain the most successful (and economic) results possible for my clients. I've learned from many quality lawyers during my time in practice, both how to and how not to handle a variety of matters. I have extensive experience in the courts of Central PA, and know how to get results both in and out of the courtroom. So what do I think sets me apart from other attorneys? I think my ability to empathize and identify with a client gives me an advantage. When you come to me with your legal problem, you're not just a number or a case name. You're someone who has trusted me with helping you resolve a situation that is often very stressful and consuming. That trust is paramount, and frankly, humbling. Your importance as a client isn't based upon the value of your case or how much time I'll need to invest to reach its conclusion. You're important to me because you've placed a very significant part of your life in my hands, and are asking me to help guide you through it. And I enjoy doing so, and get a great fulfillment from it. So if you think I can be of service, get in touch. If I can't help you, odds are I know an attorney who can.
So practicing law's what I do, but who I am? I'm a father to three amazing children that keep my wife and I on our toes at all times. I enjoy playing outside with them and helping them with homework (though Common Core can be infuriating at times). I'm an avid reader currently working on a sendup of, and a tribute to, the unreliable female narrator genre (think The Final Gone Girl in the Window on a Train). I enjoy scouring flea markets for vinyl records and watching z-grade horror movies. And I look forward to hearing from you.
