She practices primarily in the areas of domestic relations, criminal defense and wills and estates, but also is a litigator in other civil areas, including landlord tenant disputes. During law school, Tawnya clerked for the Department of Justice in Wilmington, Delaware. Along with years of courtroom experience, Tawnya coordinated a successful mediation program for 8+ years and continues to offer mediation and other alternative dispute resolution solutions.
Tawnya is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Tawnya is a 2004 graduate of Widener Law School. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 with dual B.S. in Political Science and Sociology and received a M.S. in Criminology from West Chester University in 1998. Tawnya is an adjunct professor at Catholic University.
