Stephen J Austin, LLC

Mr. Austin has handled an incredible variety of claims in his legal career, on both sides: for individuals with claims and for companies defending them, in small cases and large ones. These include car wrecks, slip and falls, worker compensation claims, construction defect claims, union grievances, employment discrimination claims, overtime and minimum wage claims, whistleblower claims, arbitration, insurance disputes, personal injury claims against the federal government, and product liability claims. He has argued cases in most of the courthouses in south Louisiana and Alabama.

In the last few years, he has focused his practice exclusively on asbestos claims, both in Louisiana, Alabama, and elsewhere. He has represented a wide range of clients and has successfully handled thousands of asbestos claims.

Mr. Austin has served as trial counsel, or co-counsel, in numerous cases that have received jury verdicts.

Mr. Austin devotes his entire practice to helping people with diseases caused by asbestos. He loves people, has diverse experience in every stage of legal representation, and is passionate about the law. This makes him well-prepared to answer your questions.
