Child Custody

New Jersey's Elite Family Law lawyers specializing in Child Custody issues

There are two types of custody provisions in New Jersey: legal custody and residential custody. Legal custody determines how your child(ren) will be raised and concerns such things as schooling, religious training, etc. Residential custody determines with whom the child(ren) will live, as well as a fair and equitable parenting time schedule. Our attorneys have not only the knowledge, but the proven skillset and track-record to navigate this difficult and often uncertain time.

Child Support

New Jersey's family law lawyers specializing in Child Support issues and other family matters.

Child support is the amount of money that each parent must pay for their children. It results from a formula found in the New Jersey Rules of Court and applies to both parents. It is based on their incomes as well as overnight parenting time with the child(ren). Child support is a right that belongs to the child although there is a common misconception that it belongs to the residential parent. Child support is usually paid until a child is emancipated.
