Firm Overview

Signature Law combines trusted counsel with top notch personal service to serve families in their estate planning and probate needs. Most law firms are expensive, impersonal, and inflexible – Signature Law makes a point to not be like other firms:

Virtual Office
Signature Law operates with a virtual office. Our work stays on the cloud under heavy encryption for security, but is readily accessible whenever and wherever needed. We work virtually, and when we need to meet we come to you. Importantly, this means that we do not pass the expense of having a brick and mortar office on to you. It's not as fancy, but it gets the job done and allows us to maintain reasonable fees for service.

Direct Attorney Contact
When you call your attorney, you want to speak with your attorney, not a paralegal or legal assistant or receptionist. With Signature Law you will not be shuffled off to a paralegal to handle your needs. You will be taken care of directly by an attorney who knows you and your case and can give you the personal service you deserve.

Flat Fee Arrangements
Most attorneys will nickel and dime you for every waking moment spent on a case. We don't operate that way. Most of our work is done with flat fees for service, meaning if you have a question, you are free to ask without being charged for every six minute increment of time. When we do hourly work, we still maintain that philosophy, keeping billings reasonable and respectable.

Flexible Hours
We understand that you live busy lives, and meeting during normal business hours may not work for you. We are structured to be able to meet you during non-normal business hours, such as the evenings and weekends, at a location that is close to where you live.

Remote Meeting & Consultation
With the innovations of the technological age in which we live, there is every reason to embrace remote counseling for convenience and efficiency. We don't have an office because we want to avoid passing those expenses on to you. Instead, Signature Law is set up to meet with you electronically and remotely. Because of this we are able to serve greater Minnesota along with the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. When we need to meet or do a signing, we come to you and meet at your convenience.

One thing that sets Signature Law apart from other estate planning law firms is that our goal is not to push you into a sometimes unnecessary revocable living trust. Many other firms, "trust attorneys" as they are called, will pressure you into a revocable living trust whether you need one or not. At Signature Law, if a revocable living trust is not right for you, then you won't run into a “hard sell” about getting one. Instead, we will put together a tailored strategy based on your specific circumstances and what you want for your legacy. We're an estate planning firm, not a "trust firm".
