MICHAEL L. HUBBARD

Mr. Hubbard is a life-long Douglas County, Georgia resident and graduated from Lithia Springs High School in 1985. He was a member of the U.S. Army and Georgia National Guard from 1988 to 1994 and received an honorable discharge. He received an Associate's Degree Equivalent in the field of Journalism and Public Relations from the Defense Information School at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Georgia State University in Atlanta and later transferred to Mercer University in Atlanta where he graduated in 1999 with a B.S. in Business Administration. This degree was earned while Mr. Hubbard worked full-time as a district manager for a mall based specialty retail company for a period of ten years.

In 2002 Mr. Hubbard graduated from The Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Hubbard was a member of the Mercer Law School Moot Court team and competed in successful regional and national competitions. While finishing his law school education Mr. Hubbard served under O.C.G.A. 15-18-22 as an assistant district attorney in the Tallapoosa Circuit serving both Haralson and Paulding Counties where he prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor cases.

In late 2002 Mr. Hubbard formed Michael L. Hubbard, PC and began practicing as a sole practitioner in Fulton County, Georgia. Mr. Hubbard relocated to his home town of Douglasville Georgia in 2003 and has served as a full-time trial lawyer since that time in his Douglas County office. A resident of the city of Villa Rica, Georgia, Mr. Hubbard currently serves as the city solicitor for his home town and prosecutes all cases in the Municipal Court of Villa Rica. KENNETH R. BERNARD, JR.

Managing Partner

Ken Bernard graduated from the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia School of Law. After distinguishing himself as a Marine Corps Judge Advocate General (JAG), he co-founded Sherrod & Bernard, a law firm dedicated to the seriously injured and their families.

With 25 years of trial experience, he has professionally handled wrongful death, personal injury, and car accident cases, with million dollar resolutions; has represented local governments and others on special matters; and has served as general counsel to businesses.

He is a former member of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, where he served on the Executive and Compensation Committee; Chairman of the Organization and Law Committee (which oversees the legal affairs of the 31 public universities and colleges in Georgia); Chairman of the Finance and Business Operations Committee; Chairman of the Committee on Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance; and Chairman of the Health Professions and Education Committee. Recently, he completed his 3rd term as Chairman of the University System of Georgia Foundation, Inc.

Ken formerly served as a Special Assistant Attorney General; Chairman of the Marine Corps Association of Georgia Lawyers; Vice-Chairman of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), and as a member of the Governor's Development Council (GDC). He is a member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and serves on the audit committee (past member judicial evaluations committee). He is also a member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Georgia Bar Association, Douglas County Bar Association, and National Association of College and University Attorneys.

MICHAEL L. HUBBARD

Mr. Hubbard is a life-long Douglas County, Georgia resident and graduated from Lithia Springs High School in 1985. He was a member of the U.S. Army and Georgia National Guard from 1988 to 1994 and received an honorable discharge. He received an Associate's Degree Equivalent in the field of Journalism and Public Relations from the Defense Information School at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Georgia State University in Atlanta and later transferred to Mercer University in Atlanta where he graduated in 1999 with a B.S. in Business Administration. This degree was earned while Mr. Hubbard worked full-time as a district manager for a mall based specialty retail company for a period of ten years.

In 2002 Mr. Hubbard graduated from The Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Hubbard was a member of the Mercer Law School Moot Court team and competed in successful regional and national competitions. While finishing his law school education Mr. Hubbard served under O.C.G.A. 15-18-22 as an assistant district attorney in the Tallapoosa Circuit serving both Haralson and Paulding Counties where he prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor cases.

In late 2002 Mr. Hubbard formed Michael L. Hubbard, PC and began practicing as a sole practitioner in Fulton County, Georgia. Mr. Hubbard relocated to his home town of Douglasville Georgia in 2003 and has served as a full-time trial lawyer since that time in his Douglas County office. A resident of the city of Villa Rica, Georgia, Mr. Hubbard currently serves as the city solicitor for his home town and prosecutes all cases in the Municipal Court of Villa Rica. Mr. Hubbard also serves as General Counsel for the S.H.A.R.E. House and has successfully tried both criminal and civil cases inside and outside of Douglas County.
