Barry Packin has been practicing law for over 30 years, primarily litigating complex, difficult medical malpractice and product liability cases on behalf of patients/plaintiffs. Barry authored an article in the New Jersey Law Journal on an esoteric area of product liability law. Barry served as a program panelist on issues relating to the admissibility of scientific evidence at the New Jersey Judicial College which is an annual education program for New Jersey judges. The Council is a select group of attorneys and representatives from the industry, limited to only seven members that represent Claimants.

Douglas S. Grossbart, M.D., is a physician-attorney specializing in medical malpractice, brain injury, product liability and other complex personal injury matters, including substantial automobile and aviation matters involving catastrophic injuries. A 1988 graduate of Seton Hall University, summa cum laude with a degree in chemistry and a 1993 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Doug completed his medical training internship in Pennsylvania before attending Law School. Doug's noteworthy cases have included a client who was burned internally by a medical device; a young woman who died as a result of negligent removal of ovaries; a young man who was ejected from a vehicle in a rollover, which resulted in quadriplegia; and numerous other medically oriented cases including obstetrical and brain injury matters. Doug recently obtained a 1.2 million dollar verdict on behalf of a medical malpractice victim.
James P. Kimball has tried over 90 jury trials to a verdict in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex and Passaic counties. In 2000, he was certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil and Criminal Trial Attorney. At present, he manages case files primarily in Bergen County where he is responsible for cases from filing the complaint to a verdict or settlement. He also served as an elected official in his hometown of Montvale and served as the attorney to the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Wood-Ridge.
Jan K. Seigel earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown and a Master of Laws from New York University. After a judicial clerkship for the Passaic County Civil Assignment Judge and four years as an Assistant Passaic County Prosecutor, he founded the firm in 1976. Mr. Seigel has tried over 150 jury cases and has won a landmark case in the NJ Supreme Court. Mr. Seigel was chosen "Young Lawyer of the Year" by the NJ State Bar Association and inducted into the NJ Police Honor Legion for his representation of police officers. He has received a number of legal honors including, Who's Who in American Law, Life Member of the Million and Multi-million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Top Trial Lawyers in America, New Jersey Super Lawyer, and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He and his wife Judy have four children and seven grandchildren.
Jonas K. Seigel was awarded a Master of Laws in Trial Advocacy from Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law, following degrees from Goucher College and Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has litigated cases in both Superior Court and arbitration forums. At present, he manages all pre-litigation files for the firm.
He is a recipient of the New Jersey State Bar Association's prestigious Young Lawyer Awards for 'Professional Achievement' in 2013, and 'Service to the Community' in 2009. Mr. Seigel has repeatedly been named as a New Jersey Super Lawyers, "Rising Star," and as a 'Top 40 Under 40' by the National Trial Lawyers. Already a life member of both the Million and Multi-million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Top Trial Lawyers in America and an Editor's Choice Award recipient for a book that he co-authored entitled, Consumer Advocate, Jonas manages to find the time to volunteer for several charities and lecture to both attorneys and the public on issues of public safety and insurance law.
Mark McBratney is a consummate advocate. He successfully represents clients at arbitrations, mediations and trials, his specialty. Mark has tried more than 75 civil jury trials in the Superior Court of New Jersey. His trial expertise led him to be certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. Mark serves as a Master in the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inn of Court, providing training to young lawyers. Mark also gives lectures on trial law to legal organizations, and is an adjunct professor at Kean University.
Mark began his career representing insurance companies, but decided he would rather employ his skills helping injured parties. Since then he has represented clients in all types of personal injury lawsuits, including cases involving wrongful death, sexual assault, automobile accidents and medical malpractice, and has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his injured clients.
