Ian E. Scott is the founder and president of Scott Legal, P.C.. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School where he was a Primary Editor on the Harvard Human Rights Journal. He received both an undergraduate degree and a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A) degree from the University of Toronto where he was an Ontario Graduate Scholar.

As a lawyer and litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, a top Wall Street law firm, Mr. Scott worked on various matters including filing briefs and motions with the Court for securities litigation as well as complex corporate bankruptcies. In addition, Mr. Scott filed personal bankruptcy petitions for clients and worked on various matters including debt issuance, adoptions, unemployment insurance appeals, immigration petitions and other matters. Mr. Scott has also worked on complex contract development, negotiation and review. Finally, Mr. Scott has a strong immigration background and has filed both non-immigrant and immigrant petitions for clients.

In 2010, Mr. Scott published Fair Value Accounting: Friend or Foe? in the William & Mary Business Law Review. Mr. Scott has also published articles in Forbes, Bloomberg Law, Above the Law, Lawyerist, New York State Bar Association, Barron's, The Student Appeal Journal as well as other publications. He is also the author of the book, Law School Lowdown (Barron's Publishing) and owner of Law School & Bar Exam Success Tips blog.

Ms. Weiner graduated summa cum laude (top 3 out of 389 students) from New York Law School and obtained her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from New York University (N.Y.U.). She was on the Dean's list repeatedly throughout her undergraduate and law school tenure and regularly received top graduate honors. Ms. Weiner recently completed (with honors) an intensive Harvard Business School program that focused on finance and business strategy.

Before joining Scott Legal, Ms. Weiner worked for New York Law School's Center for International Law as an International Law Fellow, where she assisted in teaching and lecturing about international commercial arbitration and European Union competition law. Ms. Weiner also mentored students and prepared them for an international Moot Court arbitration competition in Austria and led a student research trip in Switzerland. She has also volunteered with the Safe Passage Project, working to represent undocumented children applying for asylum and special immigrant juvenile status.

Ms. Weiner is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey only. She is also a member of the Education and Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
