Auto Accident

Samster, Konkel & Safran, S.C. is one of the top personal injury law firms in Wisconsin. Having successfully settled or litigated more than 20,000 personal injury cases in Wisconsin, we have the skill and experience to win your case.

Our team of personal injury attorneys has over four decades of combined experience in representing individuals involved in automobile accidents, truck accidents, and motorcycle accidents. We represent clients involved in all kinds of vehicle accidents, including rear-end collisions, head-on crashes, side impacts, and run-off road accidents, rollovers and alcohol-related accidents. There are a number of factors that can contribute to vehicle accidents, such as driver impairment, vehicle speed, road design, distracted driving such as texting while driving, and vehicle maintenance and design. It is our attorney's job to review the details of a vehicle accident by considering these factors, and assess the right course of action to get just and fair payment for our accident victim's damages. We have extensive experience helping victims of motorcycle accidents. The personal injury lawyers of Samster, Konkel & Safran, S.C. understand the danger facts by motorcyclists, including potholes, speeding, careless drivers and inexperienced riders. A pothole or other road defect can cause a serious motorcycle accident and serious personal injury. While riding your motorcycle, pay close attention to the road to avoid any potholes or sections of damaged roadway. In any vehicle, speeding is dangerous. Speeding while on a motorcycle significantly increases the chance of serious personal injury or even death. Slow down and enjoy the ride when out on your motorcycle in Wisconsin. The hardest part about riding a motorcycle is dealing with careless drivers who fail to share the rights of the road with motorcyclists. For your personal safety, try to avoid drivers who speed, fail to stop or disobey other traffic signs and signals. Knowing your motorcycle well and how your motorcycle handles are critical items to your safety and the safety of your passenger. Be sure to take a motorcycle driving course before you ride the open road. Our Wisconsin personal injury attorneys have also helped many clients involved in all-terrain vehicle ("ATV") and all terrain cycle ("ATC") accidents. During a typical year in the United States, several hundred people die and tens of thousands of people are injured while riding ATV's. We recognize the many safety risks associated with ATV's. Injuries and death while riding ATV's frequently result from: (1) inexperienced and unskilled riders; (2) children operating ATV's intended for adults; (3) riding a single-person ATV with one or more passengers; (4) reckless ATV driving; (5) riding ATV's under the influence of alcohol or drugs; (6) failing to wear helmets, goggles and protective clothing; (7) riding ATV's at night; and (8) defective or unstable ATV design. We understand all the factors that can apply to an ATV accident, and we will work hard to win your ATV case. We have also represented many people involved in pedestrian accidents. Wisconsin law requires drivers to yield to pedestrians when they are crossing a sidewalk, at an intersection, at a crosswalk with a walk signal, and at a marked or unmarked crosswalk without a traffic light. When a driver hits a pedestrian as a result of not following these rules of the road, the pedestrian may have a negligence claim against the driver. If the driver breached his or her duty of care to the pedestrian, the injured and his or her family may be entitled to damages. The success of a negligence claim and/or the amount of recoverable damages, however, depends on whether the pedestrian was abiding by the rules of the road. If he or she was not acting in a reasonable and prudent manner in respect to his or her own safety, contributory negligence may be assessed against the pedestrian. For this reason, it is important that pedestrian accident victims speak to an experienced personal injury attorney as soon as possible. Our team of vehicle accident attorneys have assisted many victims of distracted driving, which has become a serious problem in our country. Every day during daylight hours there are close to 800,000 people in America using their cell phone or other electronic device while driving. There are close to 1.6 million vehicle crashes and many injuries every year due to someone's carelessness on the road. If you or someone you know has been injured by a distracted driver, it's time to take action. Whether you have minor or severe injuries from a distracted driving accident, you deserve fair compensation. The Milwaukee personal injury attorneys at Samster, Konkel & Safran, S.C. are prepared to go the full distance to fight for the money you are owed for your injuries. If you or someone you know has been injured in a vehicle accident, don't settle for less. Contact the personal injury attorneys of Samster, Konkel & Safran, S.C. at (414) 224-0400.
