Limited Assistance Representation Division of Insurance Surcharge Appeals Demand Letters
We're happy to review what you've written! You know your case best, and we know the law. Combining that knowledge can result in powerful and effective writing. If, during the course of representation, you want to share your documents to augment the way we provide legal services, we will be receptive and supportive. We're more than willing to review those documents and give you seasoned legal advice and well-honed editorial skills to take what you've prepared to the next level. If you're not looking for full representation - just for a lawyer to double-check or improve what you've prepared - we can serve you with that too! In addition to traditional representation, we offer a very flexible form of legal services called Limited Assistance Representation. Limited Assistance Representation means we provide unbundled legal services for only a limited purpose, and often for a flat fee. That might be reading and critiquing your presentation of facts and arguments and giving you what you need to pursue your case your way.
We settled on our practice areas because we are driven to serve everyday legal needs, while at the same time pursuing practice areas we're most passionate about. Our attorney has the passion and drive required to successfully represent clients in family law matters because she has stood in her clients' shoes by fighting her own custody battle. Through her personal experience she is familiar with the rollercoaster of emotions that accompanies family law cases, and through her work experience, she knows how to harness and transform these emotions into passionate and effective advocacy. We're also committed to fighting for what's fair and just in business dealings, and so consumer protection law and insurance defense came naturally to us. It's right to expect those who deal in insurance and those who sell us goods and services to be honest and fair, and in Massachusetts there are powerful laws in place to ensure that consumers are protected. It is our goal to ensure insurance companies, businesses and individuals answer for their unfair and deceptive trade practices. Last but not least, we're just as passionate about appealing wrong or unfair judgments to ensure justice is done for plaintiffs and defendants alike. We are especially drawn to appellate work because it focuses heavily on three of our attorney's greatest skills: research, writing, and oral advocacy. Before she began studying law, Attorney Royer completed a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Rhetoric. That education has served her well in her legal career, and her work as an appellate attorney has brought her great happiness.
Attorney Rebecca Royer is a passionate and creative advocate. She brings to bear her spirit of perseverance and well-practiced and proven effective legal writing abilities to approach every case with intense focus and fashion unique and comprehensive solutions that address every angle to the satisfaction of her clients. Where settlement is not possible, Attorney Royer uses her legal writing skills to generate innovative written and oral arguments to zealously advocate for her client's position, no matter the facts.
She has experience with separation and divorce, both contested and uncontested, and with pursuing and defending paternity cases, modifications of judgments and agreements for changed circumstances, including recalculation of child support and adjustments to custody and parenting time, and contempt actions when allegations arise that a party is not following court orders.

She has made a successful career of pursuing and defending appellate cases in the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. The opinion can be found at http://masscases.com/cases/app/92/92massappct76.html.
Attorney Royer also has experience in general litigation, insurance defense, agency appeals, and consumer protection law. She has fought for clients who suffered harm at the hands of insurance companies, and for those who faced surcharges on their driver's license from the Division of Insurance. She has represented clients who are victims of unfair and deceptive conduct in business and consumer transactions, and she has the skills necessary to tackle other types of civil litigation.
