I specialize in Disability and Disability Rights law.

I practice with a very small group of attorneys I respect and trust. We each are devoted to providing our best work to each client.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Experience counts. Experience teaches us the most important lesson in law - which questions to ask, and when to ask them.

My understanding of medical testing, medical terminology, and the symptoms that go along with different medical impairments makes me better able to ask the RIGHT QUESTIONS.

It is important to know the legal standards, and it is also important to know the judges - how each judge approaches a case, and what kind of evidence each judge thinks is most important. That familiarity with individual judges gives me an important edge; because I study how each one thinks, I know how to best argue your case.

I have experience at the administrative level, before Administrative Law Judges, and have made numerous successful appeals to the Social Security Appeals Council, and to the courts; state courts and the United States District Courts.

I am frequently called upon to do presentations to groups of doctors and social workers, to teach them about the legal standards in Disability cases. The facts Social Security finds important may not be the same facts doctors focus on.

Doctors are trained to provide medical treatment, not necessarily how to describe that treatment to people without medical training.

I teach them how to describe their patients' conditions using the words Social Security uses. This helps them sort out which facts and/or tests are important to your Disability case, in the eyes of the court.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I am committed to giving each client MY personal attention - not the attention of an assistant. Since our only office is this virtual one, we do not have to charge for office and overhead expenses like most law firms.

This low overhead means that our services are affordable. It also allows us to put more time and more attention to the work needed by each client.

I will always return your call - the same day, will always answer your questions promptly, and will always have time to meet with you in person. I understand that as your lawyer, I work for YOU, not the other way around.

I specialize in Disability issues. My entire legal career has been focused on the areas of law where medical facts and legal rights intersect. I don't do wills and trusts; I don't do property law, contracts or family law - just Disability.
