Biography: Richard is a civil litigation and trial attorney with more than thirty years of experience arguing all aspects of business and commercial litigation of varying complexity in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before the various administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals. He has handled numerous genres of business litigation, including shareholder, partner and limited liability company member disputes, Uniform Commercial Code disputes,unfair competition, trade name disputes and franchise litigation. In the past decade, he has been extensively involved in all aspects of mortgage fraud litigation for several national lenders, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as the FDIC. He is also a licensed real estate broker.

Richard's areas of expertise include an emphasis on construction litigation, including arbitration, and mediation of disputes on public and private works involving construction defects, professional liability of architects and engineers, latent and patent defects, extra work claims, changed conditions claims, delay claims, defective work claims, mechanic's liens and stop notice claims, and surety bond claims.

In the employment field, Richard has represented both employers and employees in a multitude of different labor and employment matters, including claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, defamation, violation of non-competition and trade secret agreements and Labor Code violations.
