Wright graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry in 2010. With a father practicing law in North Carolina, he was led into law and attended Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated with a Jurist Doctor degree, receiving the "book" award for highest score in Constitutional Law.
Wright was employed directly out of law school by Rainwater and Gibbs, LLP to assist the firm in all phases of litigation, particularly in the fields of personal injury, fraud, domestic (family) and commercial litigation. Wright is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, United States District Court, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Wright was immediately successful as a litigator and was made a full partner in the firm in 2016 and has likewise been responsible for growing the firm, he is active in the local community as a Board Member of the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Lake Blackshear Waterfowl Association, a member and Deacon at First Baptist Church Cordele, a member of the University of North Carolina General Alumni Association, current President of the Cordele Rotary Club, Ram's Club member, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association member, and the former Treasurer of the Cordele Bar Association.
He was chosen as one of The Ten Best Attorneys in Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2016.

Rainwater was born July 10, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Macon, Georgia; Eagle Scout in 1963, graduated as a Honor Student from Lanier Senior High School in 1966. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology (1966-1968); Mercer University (1968-1970) A.B. 1970; Walter F. George School of Law of Mercer University (1970-1973), Jurist Doctor 1973. He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Recipient, American Jurisprudence Award in Estates; Winner of C & S National Bank Will Drafting Contest. President, American Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Club, 1972. Author: "Georgia's New Collateral Source Rule," Mercer Law Review, 1987." Annual Survey of Georgia Law, Trial Practice," Mercer Law Review, 1988.
From 1973 to 1989, Rainwater practiced law throughout Georgia, specializing as a trial lawyer. He was one of the first ten lawyers in the State of Georgia to become Board Certified as a civil trial lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and one of the few lawyers who became "AV" rated and a member of the Bar Registry of Martindale-Hubbell in less than ten years of practice. In 2010, Rainwater was recognized as one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of Georgia by the National Trial Lawyers Association and is served as the Chairman of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Family Law Section in 2010.
From 1990 to 1997, Rainwater left private practice to serve as First Vice President and General Counsel of Central Bank and Trust in Cordele, Georgia, and later as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for American Network Services, Inc. of Norcross, Georgia. As a co-founder of American Network Services Rainwater was part of the management team that created "DEPONET" the largest legal support network in the world.
After selling the company in 1997, Rainwater returned to private practice in Cordele in November of 1997. Rainwater has recovered over $150,000,000 in settlements, verdicts and recoveries since 1998 for the citizens of Central and South Georgia.
Rainwater was selected to the 2015 list as a member of the Nation's Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Mitchell Gibbs is a partner with the firm specializing in commercial and residential transactions, as well as estate, corporate and general business matters. Mr. Gibbs represents many local farmers, businesses, and currently serves as the board attorney for Crisp Regional Hospital.
Mr. Gibbs grew up in Watkinsville, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources. Immediately following college, Mr. Gibbs attended Georgia State College of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2004.
Following graduation, Mr. Gibbs practiced law in Athens, Georgia with the Law Offices of M. Barton Rice, Jr., where he handled commercial and residential real estate closings in addition to representing several real estate related companies and building suppliers. While working in Athens, he had the opportunity to develop personalized estate planning for numerous employees of the University of Georgia as part of their employment package.
In 2008, Mr. Gibbs moved with his family to the hometown of his wife, the former Ame Wade, and began working for Rainwater & Harpe. The following year, Mr. Gibbs and Mr. David Rainwater formed Rainwater & Gibbs, LLP, and subsequently formed Rainwater, Gibbs & Wright, LLP in 2012.
