Erin was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Southern Maryland. She graduated from Tulane University in 1999. She continued her education and received her J.D. from Loyola College of Law, New Orleans in 2003, with certificates in Civil Law, Common Law, and International Studies. At Loyola, she also received the CALI Award for Excellence in Advanced Federal Income Taxation, served as a Managing Editor of the Maritime Law Journal, a member of the Moot Court Staff, and a member of the Jessup International Moot Court team. Erin received her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2004. Prior to attending law school, she worked for the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys in Washington, D.C. and Austin, TX, and for private law firms in New Orleans. After law school, she worked in Washington, D.C. for Special Counsel Legal Staffing, and Venable, LLP. From 2011 - 2019, she served as Director of Career Services & Employer Relations for the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, and in 2015 became owner of Bayou South Mechanical Services, LLC. Erin's background includes a very unique combination of business and legal experience, and as a business owner, she understands many of the challenges faced by small businesses. She is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, New York, and the District of Columbia (inactive), and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, and the Louisiana Bar Foundation.
