Kerry R. Peck, Managing Partner

Mr. Peck has extensive experience in advising individuals and banks charged with the administration of estates and trusts, and guiding fiduciaries through the probate process, including appearing in court; assisting in the transfer of assets and resolution of claims; and the implementation of decedent's estate plans. He vigorously represents all parties in will contests and contested guardianships, including minors and disabled adults. In addition, Mr. Peck assists families with planning for disabled children or other family members who are, or are likely to become, disabled and require special protection.

Timothy J. Ritchey, Partner

Tim serves as Guardian ad Litem and Court Appointed Counsel before the Probate Court. He works closely with individuals and financial institutions throughout the administration of estates and trusts. He vigorously represents all parties in contested will, trust and guardianship proceedings, in addition to assisting families to plan for disabled children and adults.

Peter S. Coorlas, Senior Associate

Peter S. Coorlas is a senior associate of the Chicago law firm Peck Ritchey, LLC. Peter was an Assistant State's Attorney for Cook County for 30 years, serving in the Special Litigation and Municipal Litigation Sections of the Civil Actions Bureau. Although Peter served in various areas while at the State's Attorneys Office, he has primarily represented the interests of Cook County in probate matters, spending much of his time on contested litigation, including will contests, contested heirships, presumptions of death and estate claims. Peter has argued cases in front of the Appellate and Supreme Court of Illinois, and tried numerous jury trials to verdict. Peter is named by Leading Lawyers Magazine as a Leading Lawyer in Elder Law and Trust, Will & Estate Planning Law.

Brandon E. Peck, Partner

Brandon E. Peck is a Partner with Peck Ritchey, LLC. He represents individuals, families, financial and medical institutions. Brandon concentrates his practice in the areas of trust, estate, and guardianship litigation and administration. He advises fiduciaries charged with the administration of estates and trusts as well as guides them through the probate process. Brandon routinely represents all parties in contested guardianships including minors and disabled adults.

Jesse A. Footlik, Partner

Jesse A. Footlik concentrates his practice in the areas of trust, estate, and guardianship litigation and administration, and elder law, with an emphasis on contested trusts and estates. In addition to representing individuals and families as heirs and beneficiaries, Jesse represents both corporate and individual fiduciaries, including financial institutions and healthcare providers. Jesse also counsels clients involved in various Power of Attorney disputes, both in and out of court.

Jesse has successfully litigated cases on both the trial and appellate court levels. He has significant experience guiding clients though the probate process in decedent's estates as well as the estates of disabled adults and minors.

Jesse has assisted in the preparation of new probate and elder law legislation, as well as continuing legal education programs and legal resources. He also frequently lectures on various elder law topics. Prior to law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Jesse graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Patrick J. Bushell, Associate

Patrick J. Bushell is an associate attorney at Peck Ritchey, LLC. In addition to representing individuals and families, Patrick represents financial institutions, medical institutions, and various fiduciaries. Patrick earned his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School, where he graduated cum laude. During law school, Patrick was regularly named to the Dean's list and received CALI awards for excellence in Federal Individual Income Tax, Environmental Law, and Secured Transactions. He also was a Lead Articles Editor for The John Marshall Law Review, took first place in the Albert R. Mugel National Moot Court Competition, and was on the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council. In 2017 and 2018 Patrick was selected by Leading Lawyers Magazine as a top emerging lawyer in Elder Law, Trust, Will and Estate Planning.

Daniel L. Peters, II, Associate

Daniel L. Peters II is an associate attorney at Peck Ritchey, LLC. In addition to representing individuals and families, Daniel represents financial institutions, medical institutions and various fiduciaries.

Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. During law school, Daniel had a judicial externship with the Illinois Supreme Court where he clerked for Justice Anne M. Burke. He also served as a judicial extern for Justice Terrence J. Lavin at the Illinois Appellate Court. Prior to law school, Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications from Marquette University.

Daniel's practice areas include Trust and Probate Litigation, Guardianship Litigation and Administration, Estate Administration, Will Contests, Fiduciary Defense Litigation, and Elder Law. He is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association.

Kyle T. Fahy, Associate
