Victor Pasternack

Victor Pasternack is the managing partner emeritus of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton and Romano, LLP, a firm concentrating in workers' compensation, Social Security disability, civil service pension, and personal injury. Mr. Pasternack brings over 41 years of experience in the field of workers' compensation law and is well known in the legal community for his expertise in this area.

He received his B.A. from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1970 and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1975. He has been a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since 1978 and has served on its Board of Directors since 1987. Now serving as an emeritus member, he has been elected deputy treasurer, treasurer and secretary of the association. In 1988, he received the Distinguished Service Award of the Association.

Mr. Pasternack is also a founding member of the Injured Workers' Bar Association, has chaired the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association and has also served as the New York State Captain for Workers Compensation for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now, the American Association for Justice). He is past president of the New York State Workers' Compensation Bar Association and member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group and the New York State Bar Association, Insurance Personal Injury and Compensation Law Section, Workers Compensation Division. He also serves on the Board of Directors of WILG- Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group- A national organization of advocates for injured workers rights.

Mr. Pasternack has lectured widely on workers' compensation topics, particularly before groups of trial lawyers and labor unions. He has been an adjunct professor of the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations teaching a course on workers' compensation. He has also lectured at a workshop given for the Law Judges of the Workers' Compensation Board. For the past twenty-seven years he been chosen to be the reporter and lecturer for the chapter on "Workers' Compensation" at the "Decisions" program of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, a yearly seminar widely attended by trial lawyers throughout the State of New York. He has also lectured at the Practicing Law Institute on Workers' Compensation topics.

He is also a member of the New York State Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health and has conducted workshops for union members through its workers' compensation committee conferences. In 2012 he was elected a Fellow of the College of Workers Compensation Lawyers, an organization established to honor those attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice in the field of Workers Compensation. He is Lead Counsel Rated in workers compensation and Social Security and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Mr. Pasternack has once again been named to the Super Lawyers list in the area of Workers' Compensation for 2019 by Super Lawyers Magazine. This is the the eleventh time he has been so recognized. Mr. Pasternack is rated AV ®Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.

Barbara Doblin Tilker

Ms. Tilker, a senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handled Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income claims for the firm, on a high volume basis for both adults and children.

Victor Pasternack

Victor Pasternack is the managing partner emeritus of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton and Romano, LLP, a firm concentrating in workers' compensation, Social Security disability, civil service pension, and personal injury. Mr. Pasternack brings over 41 years of experience in the field of workers' compensation law and is well known in the legal community for his expertise in this area.

He received his B.A. from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1970 and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1975. He has been a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since 1978 and has served on its Board of Directors since 1987. Now serving as an emeritus member, he has been elected deputy treasurer, treasurer and secretary of the association. In 1988, he received the Distinguished Service Award of the Association.

Mr. Pasternack is also a founding member of the Injured Workers' Bar Association, has chaired the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association and has also served as the New York State Captain for Workers Compensation for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now, the American Association for Justice). He is past president of the New York State Workers' Compensation Bar Association and member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group and the New York State Bar Association, Insurance Personal Injury and Compensation Law Section, Workers Compensation Division. He also serves on the Board of Directors of WILG- Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group- A national organization of advocates for injured workers rights.

Mr. Pasternack has lectured widely on workers' compensation topics, particularly before groups of trial lawyers and labor unions. He has been an adjunct professor of the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations teaching a course on workers' compensation. He has also lectured at a workshop given for the Law Judges of the Workers' Compensation Board. For the past twenty-seven years he been chosen to be the reporter and lecturer for the chapter on "Workers' Compensation" at the "Decisions" program of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, a yearly seminar widely attended by trial lawyers throughout the State of New York. He has also lectured at the Practicing Law Institute on Workers' Compensation topics.

He is also a member of the New York State Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health and has conducted workshops for union members through its workers' compensation committee conferences. In 2012 he was elected a Fellow of the College of Workers Compensation Lawyers, an organization established to honor those attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice in the field of Workers Compensation. He is Lead Counsel Rated in workers compensation and Social Security and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Mr. Pasternack has once again been named to the Super Lawyers list in the area of Workers' Compensation for 2019 by Super Lawyers Magazine. This is the the eleventh time he has been so recognized. Mr. Pasternack is rated AV ®Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.

Barbara Doblin Tilker

Ms. Tilker, a senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handled Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income claims for the firm, on a high volume basis for both adults and children.

She is a graduate of New York University and St. John's University School of Law. Admitted Appellate Division, 2nd Department: State of NY: January 1978. Eastern District and Southern District of New York: April 1978 Admitted United States Supreme Court: January 2010.

Ms. Tilker has concentrated for more than thirty years in Social Security Disability law and has served two terms as President of the New York Social Security Bar Association from 1990-1994. She is presently a Trustee of this organization.

She was named in New York Super Lawyers of the Metro Region, in the practice area of Social Security Disability for the years 2007-2014 and has lectured extensively to groups for the disabled including the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Arthritis Foundation. In addition, Super Lawyers in March 2015 named Ms. Tilker to its Top 100 list of female lawyers in the New York metro region. A year earlier, she was listed as one of the Top Women Attorneys in New York. We are very proud that she and another partner, Catherine M. Stanton, have been chosen for this honor.

She has appeared on public service radio and cable television on the topic of Social Security Disability and is presently on the panel of the Legal Referral Service of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York in the practice area of Social Security Disability.

She has advised numerous unions regarding member entitlement and has run multiple educational workshops for physicians throughout the metropolitan area. Ms. Tilker has made presentations to the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute, Suffolk County Bar Association Academy of Law, and St. Luke's Hospital Symposium.

Barbara is currently a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives; the Nassau County Women's Bar Association; the New York State Bar Association; and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. She has published articles on Social Security Disability for the New York State Trial Lawyers Quarterly and Bill of Particulars.
