What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

We encourage clients to educate themselves on legal issues pertaining to their case(s). This would include gaining knowledge of the specific charges against them, the possible sentences and the repercussions of being found guilty.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes. We are willing to review documents that a client has prepared and if applicable, yet at our discredition, may include them in any legal pleadings pertaining to their case.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

No. We feel that a client should never represent themselves in a legal proceding, especially if they do not have legal training.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Rarely. In criminal law, the cases typically involve the client, the lawyer, the prosecutor and the judge. Formal mediation is not allowed in criminal cases.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

Our office takes a hands-on approach with each and every client. When coupled with vast legal experience, zealous advocacy on behalf of the client, thorough investigation of crime scenes and witnesses, Atty. Thierry has an advantage in getting the client's story across to the prosecutor and judge.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

We do not provide pro bono legal services at this time.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

We are flexible about dividing work within the firm to make the process more cost effective for the client. We are always willing to consult with clients about cost cutting measures.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

My hands on approach to representing clients.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

Atty. Thierry is a solo practitioner with 20+ years in criminal defense. As a public defender, I have handled a vast variety of criminal cases from seemingly worst cases to the most petty with the understanding that each case is just as important to each client.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I have always been an advocate for the "underdog" so to speak. It is quite a charge to represent a single individual against the vast machinery of the state. I am the client's last defense. My training, experience and insticts help me to develop a valid defense for each client specially tailored to their legal circumstances. This is an awesome resposibility meant to be borne by a zealous advocate.
