-Verdict in Quimby v. City of McCleary in Grays Harbor Superior Court $300,000 reduced to $250,000 for failure to mitigate. Liability determined for violation of the rescue doctrine.
-Marks v. City of Aberdeen for recent favorable sidewalk liability settlement. Filed in the Grays Harbor Superior Court. Settlement of client's claim for city's failure to maintain sidewalks in a reasonably safe condition. Summary Judgment granted by the Court.
-Cedell v Farmers insurance - We fought Farmers in the Washington Supreme Court on the issue of whether Farmers could legally withhold portions of their claim file from Cedell and claim that it was protected by the attorney client privilege. After Stephen Olson argued the case in the Supreme Court the court held that their is a presumption that the attorney client privilege does not apply and that the sanctions imposed against Farmers at the trial court level were upheld. See Cedell v Farmers Insurance Company decided February 21st 2013.
