Jeffrey B. Miller

Jeff Miller is certified as a specialist in personal injury and wrongful death law by the State Bar of Arizona. He limits his practice exclusively to the representation of clients who have sustained serious personal injury or have been damaged by professional negligence. Jeff had the largest civil jury verdict in the State in 2005, a $28 million verdict in a complex psychiatric malpractice case.

While it may seem that such areas as medical malpractice, trucking accidents, nursing home abuse and neglect, and birth injuries have little in common, they are of particular interest to Jeff because of the difficulty of the issues and the challenges of the litigation.

Jeff has been a recognized instructor in the area of trucking negligence and has presented an annual seminar to lawyers and to those in the trucking industry for the last several years. Jeff's long term interest in assisting children led to his involvement in medical malpractice cases involving babies and children with such problems as cerebral palsy. As an experienced motorcycle rider, he has a special understanding of the issues which arise in motorcycle injury cases. With a family background in construction, he also accepts construction site accident litigation.

Jeff is a graduate of Harvard College magna cum laude in Comparative Religion, and is a graduate of New York University Law School. He has served on the boards of several civic, charitable organizations, including the Board of Directors of the Lodestar Day Resource Center, which provides services to the homeless. Notwithstanding his urban Phoenix practice, he lives with his family on a small farm with horses, deer, chickens, goats, donkeys, dogs and cats.

Gabriel V. Kory

Gabriel was raised in Nogales, Arizona, and received both his undergraduate degree and Juris Doctorate at Arizona State University. He also studied in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico at EGADE, Tec De Monterrey at the Instituto Tecnologico y De Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, attending the masters program in International Commercial Trade Law, and EIS Estudio Internacional Sampere in Madrid, Spain, earning a minor in Spanish.

With a focus on nursing home abuse and neglect since his earliest days as a lawyer, Gabe has developed considerable knowledge and expertise in the area. Gabriel began his practice at a law firm specializing in the defense of institutional healthcare providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and group homes but now exclusively represents victims of abuse and neglect in such cases. As a founder of Miller Kory Rowe, LLP, Gabriel has continued to devote the majority of his practice to the firm's nursing home litigation group, which is devoted to the representation of victims' and victims families of nursing home abuse and neglect. Gabriel is also member of Arizona's Geriatric Society, AMDA The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, and an Assistant Professor of Practice at The University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix.

The firm's collective goal is to obtain accountability on behalf of our state's most vulnerable citizens who have been abused and/or neglected in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes. Gabriel's practice concentrates on assisting the victims and families whose loved ones suffer serious, life-altering injuries as a result of negligence or abuse occurring in Arizona nursing homes.

In addition to nursing home abuse and neglect litigation, Gabriel also represents wrongful death victims and victims of medical malpractice, as well as other serious injury cases.

Teri Rowe

Born in New York, Teri has lived in Arizona since 1993. After graduating from the University of Arizona with degrees in Physics and Astronomy, she worked as a Systems Engineer for Raytheon in Tucson. Eventually, Teri found that engineering work didn't satisfy her need to connect with people and to try to improve the lives of others. She took a job as a paralegal at a personal injury firm to get some exposure to the practice of law, and discovered that she found the work very fulfilling. Teri then went on to attend law school at Arizona State University, where she was a senior editor of Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science and Technology, and also held positions in the Student Bar Association. Upon admission to the bar, Teri immediately began a career focused on representing those injured and victimized by others.

Like the other lawyers at our firm, Teri is not afraid to try a case if that's what it takes to get justice for clients. She has litigated cases involving nursing home abuse and neglect and medical malpractice, as well as construction site injuries, tractor-trailers, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, assaults, premises liability claims, and claims against government entities and schools, and has tried both jury and bench trials to verdict. She has achieved excellent results for her clients, and is proud of the gratitude and loyalty those clients have expressed.

Teri has not completely left her prior career as an engineer behind. Her engineering background is extremely helpful in developing an understanding of accident dynamics in cases involving motor vehicles, tractor-trailers, and motorcycles, for example. It can be very useful in some medical negligence claims, as well. And, in our elder abuse cases, we often need to employ math and engineering principles to analyze the biomechanics of injuries to our clients. Teri is uniquely skilled to combine a thorough understanding of the physics involved in these claims with the ability to apply the law to the facts. She is able to make good use of her science-focused education in her greater career objective to hold defendants accountable for the loss and injury they cause. In her free time, Teri enjoys running, yoga, and spending time with her family.
