Mr McCready began practicing law in 2007 after 8 years with the LAPD as a police officer and investigator and one year in Iraq as a police trainer. He started his own practice in 2011 after working as the managing partner for the Law Offices of Thomas McKnight.

His practice is focused on criminal defense including major felonies like murder, manslaughter, rape, embezzlement, child molestation, drug sales, drug transportation, robbery, residential burglary, and federal crimes.

He became a criminal law specialist in 2018 after passing the criminal law specialization exam and meeting the requirements for trial experience, training, and background investigation. His specialization was renewed in 2023 and remains active through 2028. His firm has had recent success in all of the following areas: major felonies, violent crimes, domestic violence, child abuse, rape, child abduction, embezzlement, and burglary.

In addition, the McCready Law Group has had recent success in civil litigation, probate, family law, child custody disputes, restraining orders (domestic violence, civil harassment, elder/dependent adult abuse, and workplace violence) and juvenile dependency.

He became a criminal law specialist in 2018 after passing the exam, completing over 60 hours of training and successfully handling over 30 jury trials.
