Mr. Wood is a seventeen year attorney, who has served as a Deputy District Attorney, Deputy County Counsel, and was with one of the leading Solano County Business, Real Estate and Estate law firms for nine years before coming to Mattice Law Offices in late 2009. In addition to nearly fifteen years as a government then a private practice attorney in Solano County, Mr. Wood practiced as a bilingual attorney for a general law firm in San Francisco, and was a successful real estate agent before attending law school. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. During law school, she was nominated for best brief in the Moot Court competition. In addition, Ms. Kairys worked as a law clerk with the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office.

Ms. Kairys has been an attorney for over 22 years. She practiced criminal law at both the trial and appellate levels in Los Angeles County for seven years, before coming to Napa County in 1997. Ms. Kairys represented both adults and juveniles in all types of criminal matters, including homicides, drug offenses, assault and battery, domestic violence, driving under the influence, theft crimes, fraud, and sex crimes.

In addition to substantial knowledge of criminal procedure and trial work, Ms. Kairys has 14 years of experience handling criminal appellate cases. Before joining Mattice Law Offices, Ms. Kairys represented criminal defendants in numerous petitions for writ of habeas corpus, mandate, prohibition and review in the appellate courts.

Ms. Kairys brings her extensive trial and appellate experience to the team at Mattice Law Offices, where she focuses on family law. She represents residents of Solano, Napa, Contra Costa and Sonoma Counties to assure the best outcome during the emotional crisis that often accompanies a dissolution of marriage (divorce), legal separation, annulment, paternity issues, grandparent rights and initiation and defense of both domestic violence and civil harassment restraining orders. She is devoted to helping parents protect the best interests of their children in cases involving child custody and visitation. Ms. Kairys protects her clients financial interests in cases involving spousal support, child support, division of assets and debts (including valuation and allocation of assets), marital settlement, prenuptial and post-marital agreements.
