Firm Overview

Managing partner Marc Matthews started his career defending large corporations across the country in catastrophic motor vehicle and product liability cases. While he successfully defended Fortune 100 companies, he saw first-hand how large corporations could afford to drain time and resources from regular people like you during a case.

Marc knew his legal skills and tenacity in the courtroom would better serve people who had wrongfully been injured, so he founded Matthews Injury Law in 2014. His goal was to leverage his years of experience to aggressively seek justice for the hurt, which is what he and his team do every day.

It is no secret that there is an abundance of personal injury lawyers in Florida. But the Matthews Injury Law team's deep knowledge of state laws, experience, results in the courtroom, and compassion for clients are unrivaled. Unlike other firms, Marc personally meets with new clients, and the team is always prepared to take cases to trial when insurance companies are not willing to treat their clients fairly.

When you or a family member is injured, you need attorneys who will help you start moving forward. You need attorneys who can successfully handle the battles that lie ahead and who have done it before. And you need attorneys who are fearless and unrelenting in taking on any opponent and fighting for you to ensure that you obtain the justice you deserve. You have found those attorneys in Matthews Injury Law.

Our Firm Philosophy is straightforward: we will never be outworked in seeking the justice that our clients deserve. Every case has a Team of lawyers and paralegals reviewing and strategizing every step of the way, from the initial consultation through trial if necessary.

Growing up in a blue collar family, Managing Attorney Marc Matthews was the first person in his family to go to college, let alone law school. He saw firsthand the value of hard work. And he learned from an early age that the benefits that others might have had handed to them - whether it was money, opportunity, or connections - would never beat relentless hard work. Financial resources can diminish; opportunities can be wasted; and connections can be lost. But a relentless drive to succeed, particularly on behalf of others, will always flourish. Mr. Matthews believes that "it is impossible to beat someone who never gives up." The Matthews Injury Law Team takes that philosophy into the work we do every day on behalf our clients.

Every personal injury claim is different, and our team of injury lawyers knows how to develop a strategy for the best possible results in each individual case. We identify all sources of compensation from all liable parties and will not stop until you receive the settlement or award you deserve.

Insurance companies will not volunteer to pay you everything you deserve. Sometimes, it is necessary to take your case to court to ensure you receive justice, and you want the right attorney representing you. Our team fights for the full range of damages our clients are entitled to, including:

- Medical Bills
- Lost Wages
- Future Medical Expenses
- Future Lost Earning Ability
- Out-of-Pocket Expenses
- Pain and Suffering
- Mental Trauma
- Permanent Disability
- Permanent Disfigurement
- Punitive Damages
- Wrongful Death
- Survivor Damages

When another party caused your injuries, they should be held responsible for covering all of your losses. We take on negligent drivers, corporations, and insurance companies, both in and out of court. If someone acted in an egregious or intentional manner that led to your injuries, we will not hesitate to fight for punitive damages in front of the jury.

If you want a law firm that will not back down and will relentlessly see your case through to the best possible results, you want Matthews Injury Law.

Personal Injury

Auto Accident

Matthews Injury Law employs a team of personal injury lawyers who have recovered millions in verdicts and settlements for car accident victims. We treat every case like it is our only case.

Around six million Americans get into auto accidents each year. Some car accidents result only in property or vehicle damage. However, other accidents resulting in serious injury or even death create life-altering situations for the drivers, passengers, or pedestrians involved, as well as their families. According to the National Safety Council, roughly 40,000 people die each year in motor vehicle accidents, and 4.6 million roadway users become injured enough to require medical attention at an estimated cost to society of $432 billion annually.

If you or a loved one gets into a car accident, your first priority will be to address any injuries and follow-up on medical treatment, as well as work with your insurance company to get the vehicle repaired. In addition, make sure to seek the help of an experienced auto accident attorney so you can pursue any compensation to which you are entitled. Matthews Injury Law employs a team of personal injury lawyers who have recovered millions in verdicts and settlements for car accident victims. Wrongful Death

When an accident results in the death of a loved one, it is devastating for everyone. Our attorneys have been handling wrongful death cases throughout the State and the Nation for more than two decades. We know how to get your family through.

When a catastrophic accident causes the death of a loved one, family and friends are left picking up the pieces and trying to make sense of the situation. If a person dies due to an event caused by another party’s negligence, survivors of the deceased may have a right to seek damages through a wrongful death claim. In these cases, it must be proven that the person or entity the wrongful death claim is brought against (the defendant) was responsible for the fatal accident. It’s important to know how to file a wrongful death claim and who can collect wrongful death damages based on Florida law. The wrongful death attorneys at Matthews Injury Law have helped victims’ families recover damages in verdicts or settlements. Contact us for a consultation today.
